In this drill, a pole is added on each side of the field, and 2 other poles in the middle. The aim of these poles are of the wing players to make sharp turns and sprint. The possession starts at one side of the field, the same side wing player starts his action towards the other end gate. This time, the opposing side wing player moves one box up. Once the wing player in action reaches the gate, the mates in possession pass the ball diagonally to the other side wing player.
The wing players:
Once he receives the ball, he targets a pass to his mate who sprints towards cetrnal forward position, the pole. Both players are in a 2 v 1 situation to finish. However, is the coach intends to progress, the defenders might sprint towards the wing players adding more pressure on them to finish the wave faster.
The second wave: directly after the finish of the first wave of attack, the midfield players go back some yards, the wing players move back to the gates, and the coach sends a ball up. As the coach demands, the players will perform a tactical mission and finish the attack.
