Discovering and Playing in free spaces for Grassroots and Youth Soccer – 2. DISCOVER AND PLAY IN FREE SPACES

PLAYERS: SPACE: INTENSITY:
TIME: REPETITIONS: REST:

Couples of Players pass each other the ball inside a matrix of Qubes (squared zones in Liquid Training). They have to do it with following a different rule for each repetition: 1- Player A pass the ball to Player B and goes to occupy a new space and so does Player B subsequently; 2- Player A guide the ball to a new space and then pass the ball to Player B, and so on…; 3- Player A pass the ball in a free space B has to reach to control the ball (focus attention of players on who has to decide to which free zone the ball will be passed); n- a mix of previous rules: Player A guide the ball to a free zone, pass the ball to B and then goes to a new free zone; Player A guide the ball to a free zone, pass the ball to B in a free zone and then goes to a new free zone. Depending on players age and skills we can add as many finer rules as we want introducing concepts like ‘a space nearest/further than before’, ‘the sight/blind zone of the mate’ and so on.
