Exercise about reaction time and speed of movement

The following exercise deals with concepts of reaction time, speed of movement and balance. The activity takes place as follows:

Team is divided in two groups of horses (blue and white). One blue and one white horse have to be placed back to back. When the coach says the word, the pairs of horses start shoves with back (in this position, players work on some important coordination skills, such as balance and differentiation). Then, after 5 to 6 seconds, coach will say another word calling a color: the horses of this color will start running to their finish line (yellow line in front of them), the opposite group of horses have to touch the horse that was pairing with them before they cross the finish line.

*We can start without the ball, and then we can insert balls for both group of horses.
