The main aim of these drills is to help youngsters understand how and why to support a mate with the ball.
This drill is considered a warm up, good introduction into Support. The set up of the training zone is as shown in the video. The gates help players to know where to pass and the support player to know where to support.
Rules: Only one player allowed in opponents’ zone and one defender allowed to press ball holders. This will force players in the adjacent zone to support their mate working together not to lose the ball.
Target: pass the back to your Coach who started your play.
N.B. Keep the play flowing. Once the team with the ball done their job, the opponents should start their turn helping players to perform transition more often.
