Basic passing function to work on decision making. 4 players shaped as a diamond and another player inside it. The action starts from one of the wide players, who plays the ball to n.4. Player n.4 plays it to player n.3, who bunces it back in the meantime that player n.5 makes the decision of which side of the cone going to. If player n.5 decides to move left, player n.4 will then need to play left and, as a consequence, player n.3 (inside the diamond) will need to turn right. Player n.5 will play the ball to player n.3, who will finish the action. It is important that the player inside the diamond is always facing player n.4 and turn around as soon as the long pass is played. We can make this passing rotation more complex and add more decision making elements using the wide players. Coaching points: body shape, passing intensity, turn technique, movement off the ball, come short to go long. REMEMBER that it will be more beneficial for our players if we focus on one or two coaching points rather than in all of them at the same time.
