transfer of play – 3. COMPETITIVE

PLAYERS: SPACE: INTENSITY:
TIME: REPETITIONS: REST:

The addition of goals creates more competitive drills for both teams. This drill has similar rules to the first drill. In your half of the field you have the freedom to pass, while to transfer to the other half you should pass to the opposite of your side. The coach must also add time limit in order to put both teams under serious circumstances. For example, 10 seconds to transfer the play to the other side, 5 seconds to create and take your chance. Another way, the coach can give set number of passes per possession. For example, 10 passes in your half and 5 passes in the opponents’ half. In the begining, the coach might not consider the offside rule, but must be applied later on.
