Warm up is Art! This is how I like to see it. You target turning on players’ bodies and minds. When the warm up is fun and deliberate, players will progress through the drills well prepared and aware. To heat them up, coach should raise the bar gradually targetting mainly physical, techincal and mental aspects. We usually aim to move their legs and feet to all sides during a drill with a medium range and up.
