3V1 Reaction Rondo
Coach players to react quickly and get up and down the pitch with this fun but technical drill.
A simple 3v1 rondo with the aim of maintaining possession by always showing and creating angles to receive a pass. When the ball is won by the player in the middle it is an immediate race for the other 3 players to try and be first to 1 of the 2 far away cones. The last player becomes the person in the middle of the next rondo, so it’s not neccessarily always the player who gave the ball away that is in the middle.
Explain to young players the importance of getting up and down the pitch and reacting quickly:
– To support attacks when the ball is won
– To help the defence when the ball is lost
Good for touch, fitness, reactions, transition but most of all something a bit different and fun.
