EXERCISE 3

Attacking Wall Passes

Finish on a small sided game. Each team has a player in the middle box, this player can take part in the game at all times but can only leave the box once they pass out of it, from there encourage them to support the ball.

possible variation:

depending on ability level you can allow the players in the middle to pressure each other or not

allow player to dribble the ball out the box

encourage rotations if you can’t get the ball to player in the box then they come out and someone else move in

minimize touches to 1 or 2 touch

encourage team to use middle as diversion they attack from wide

stipulate if they need to release the middle player before scoring or not

progress to free play
