REPEAT

In this game, 4 neutral players at the side. The forwards have one player with the bibs who always recieves the ball. The player with the bib transfers himself from one zone to another with his marking player presses him. The ball is then passed to him and the game goes on as in the previous drill. When the ball is out, the game restarts with the player in the bib awaits the ball while others move marking and covering.

A COLLECTION OF SMALL SIDED GAMES

This is a progression where both teams have to deal with more pressure as they compete in small areas. The team with the ball have to change the side of play before transferring the ball into the final zone and score. As always, coach sends another ball for the next team and initiate a transition.

PASSING WARM UP

Set up: Pitch - whole pitch; balls, cones ...

Organization: Players perform passing exercises with stereotypes of cooperation in finishing. Players randomly repeating stereotypes on the right and left sides in the semi active co-operation with keeper. After passing, players are doing dynamic flexibility exercises in returning to the starting position.

Coaching points: - An accurate passing the ball
- The timing
- quality of movement tehnique

Progresions:
- active finishing
- 1vs1 in the finishing

CONSTANT FINISHING

Alternatives:

This drill will also work with the player who lays the ball off getting the ball and going back to the start

Progressions:

**The ball can be played in the air to work on controlling from the air and volleys/half volleys

**The player who plays the long pass to the corner can then defend against the player who is going to shoot meaning they will need to have good movements to create space and get a shot. And the wall pass player will need to lift their head to find the striker and not the defender

4 GOALS

In this drill, the goals at the corners are in a diagonal position forcing both the finisher and the defender to perform and intercept diagonal pass. As well, the field is divided into 4 sections for the same purpose.
Each team is composed of 2 build up defenders, 3 players. There is 1 neutral player whose mission is cooperate and never finish nor pass outside his area.
Rules, 1 pass inside the zone is allowed. Pass diagonally to the far zone and not the adjacent one. The defenders should perform medium pressure, while the other one must intercept the passing lane. The defenders at their goals are restricted to the cone line and never deeper. The end of the first attack, there should start another one by the other defender. This time with more load attacking.

ANIMATION 4

The video speaks more than the words. What is special about drills that defenders will have to organize or re organize twice every time. Once protecting the first goal keeper and the second time the second goal keeper.

Please note that these drills are general and not team specific. What I mean to say that every coach must have the ability to rin the drills the way best for his team and players. If you find your defenders while possession the ball and in attack, if you find they lose the ball easily, you might add another line of players responsible for attacks. Another suggestion would be adding one more player, could be neutral, to the team while on attack giving them more chance to hold the ball. These drills meant to focus on defenders and they must be devised to assure so.

MOVEMENT SCANNING PASSING

Movement / Scanning / Passing

4v4+1 exercise to promote movement, scanning and passing abilities in young players

A goal is scored each time the team in possession pass the ball to a team mate through a gate

Coaching:

-Creating angles in possession
-Making the pitch big in possession
-Patients to create the killer pass through the gate
-Constant movement
-Weight and quality of pass

Possible Progressions:

*Can't go through the same colour gate twice in a row
*Play 2 touch
*1 touch when passing through a gate
*A point for a long pass controlled within a gate
*Add goals/shooting and any phase of possesion that goes through 3 gates you can then look to score in a goal

COMP 1

6v4 as before the middle players need to move as the ball is moving and make sure they are always in opposite boxes

progression: players play two touch max, if defenders win ball they can score in either goal
